This is kind of a tourist trap As a Cantonese speaker many venues could not understand me. They spoke Japanese only or sometimes broken mandarin. Food was ok from many stalls and shops but nothing special or particularly Chinese. There are however some gorgeous buildings here including a few temples so I give it an ok review. Worth a visit but maybe not a meal.

Really great place to visit, really vibrant and busy area some of the restaurants feel a little touristy so we didn’t go in just had some dumplings on the street they were ok but I have had better at 7-Eleven

A bit touristy with lots of restaurants, snack stalls and gift shops. Restaurants are on the expensive side, so check Google ratings before deciding on one. I went to one which was way below expectation and service was also poor. Or just stick to the street food stalls which offer great hawker food on the cheap.

Beautiful and super clean! I definitely recommend walking through. Not sure how authentic the food is, but it's a nice experience in the heart of the city

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Simply awesome. Clean, packed to the gills with more cultures than you'll see anywhere else in Japan, and food to die for. There is a never ending supply of cultural yumminess here, with trendy bubble tea shops, the expected Chinese cuisine (bot new and old, within reason) and fortune tellers for the holidays. Truly an amazing location worth visiting while in Yokohama.

Thought it was just ok. This is coming from someone who has lived in a chinatown before and has very frequently gone to other major ones. It's clean which is a huge plus than ones I've gone to. But it seemed every street offered the same thing and wasn't much variety of specialties. If you don't have the same background as me, you can take this with a grain a salt. Still worth checking out if you're bored in Yokohama (not a ton to do beyond a day).

Lantern-lined alleys, with mouth-watering scents in every corner. Cosy souvenir shops , and stalls where you can get your fortune told or picture drawn. Definitely going back.

Very nice spot to satisfy your Chinese food cravings. Lots of varieties of food to choose from, especially now that every vendor is trying to differentiate themselves from each other. Do look out for review of restaurants before you enter, instead of following the touts.

Great place to walk and buy food. Needs to have more variety though, too many shops selling the same thing like bao when there is so much more types of Chinese cuisine and street food that is not offered

One of the most well-established China towns in Japan (maybe the world too). Vibrant and full of energy. Giant steamed dumplings are tasty.

This is a big Chinatown made up of several streets. It's bright and lively and filled with rich colours and noises. There are heaps of eateries specialising in buns, tarts and if you feel like sitting down to eat, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Lots of souvenir shops too.

Authentic Chinatown of Yokohama.. Lots of Chinese themed buildings and temples.. Souvenirs from China are easily available.. Even Nepal made souvenirs are sold here under the Made In China umbrella... Interesting and colourful location for photography... There are many side lanes to explore...

One of the most beautiful chinatowns I have ever seen. Clean, well organized and so many small alleys to stroll around. Just be careful of the common tourist traps of overpriced Chinese restaurants. It's always better to ask locals and/or check before going.I'll be back next year for Chinese New Year! Yay!!!

By far the cleanest Chinatown I have ever visited. Very curated to tourists however with only a few stores with hanging meat and wares being hocked. Lots of tourist trap food but on the whole very tasty regardless.

It's the largest Chinatown in Japan. It's definitely worth a visit as a day trip to see all the dumplings and snacks stalls. We found the food in the restaurants to be over priced and the taste to be lacking in authenticity. Good for a visit but would not recommend eating, if you are e expecting good authentic Chinese food.

It’s the biggest china town in Japan and it is what you’d expect. The variety is great, the atmosphere is good and the food is yummy. Other than food there isn’t a lot to purchase and the crowds get pretty big after 1700 but overall, a great experience! I haven’t been to many china towns so don’t have much to compare it to, but the quality and pricing of the food was good and I think that warrants a visit in itself!

Loved this place! Huge and beautifully decorated Chinatown with lots to eat and cheap souvenirs to buy. Wouldn't go out of your way if you've seen other Chinatowns but if you're specially craving some Chinese food or are in the area it's work a visit.

Come hungry! Yokohama Chinatown is chalk full of delicious Chinese restaurants. Avoid the places where hawkers are trying to pull you in. There are so many other superb restaurants - spanning a wide range of cost - that you’ll do well doing a bit of advance research. Enjoy!

Yokohama Chinatown is really cool. It has good shops and restaurants that have excellent food. I went during golden week, so it was extremely crowded then but I'm sure that it's less crowded on regular days. I'd like to visit again when it's less crowded 😊

This is a very fun place to spend the afternoon. If you are a foodie and like Chinese foods from different providence's, then this place is for you 100'S of fun eateries here. Make sure you try the Shanghai meat buns or pork dumplings. They are the best. The area is about a mile or so around the China entire several blocks and there are hidden gems everywhere. Each time I come here, I locate a new great spot.

Will give it a 3 Star. Many restaurants having buffet going fr 1680, 1980 & 2480 Yen. Not that you can eat that much anyway. Suggest eating from the streets as this is 1 place in Japan where you can eat as you walk. Besides experiencing the ambiance of the place, it's much cheaper too.

Yokohama Chinatown is so great! Around with a lot of Chinese restaurant, and they look so tasty. Such as Buns, all-you-can-eat Sim Sum, and bubble mike tea. Of course this place have a lot of tourist (not only Asian). And this Chinatown is very clean! Different from a Chinatown in my country like sky and abyss.

Travel here twice, very pretty street and delicious food is everywhere you go. There is also plenty of shop selling Chinese goods around. Although if you go there when there aren't a lot of people then it can be a bit annoying as the restaurant employee trying hard to pull you in to it. But overall, nice place to experience the Chinese cruisine and culture. Would go back again.

It is big and has a nice atmosphere but the lack of variety in food was a big disappointment for me. A lot of copy paste restaurants selling exactly the same thing, that it’s hard to distinguish one restaurant from another. If you’re looking for authenticity, you will not find it here.

Very crowded streets, lots of tourists and locals, ideally you want to have a game plan or else your day will mostly be spent waiting in line to buy small treats. The quality is hit or miss, but get ready for a carb load because the meat content is pretty small. This is not a place for high quality Chinese food, it's for cheap eats. Note that there are no trash cans anywhere, you carry your trash or return it to the vendor you bought your food from. Restrooms are limited and not very sanitary. This is a typically a place I would visit once just for the experience and to claim I have been there done that.

Many different places to explore in many shops/experiences to try. Always a good time and a good idea to bring foreigners of travel. There is a different vibe that Chinatown provides which is none like any other. I’m glad that it is situated in Japan, the culture is real .
